Location: Meatpacking District
Venue Type:
Bar
Music:
Hip Hop, Rock, 80's

Vibe: Despite its namesake, don’t expect to have your birthday party ruined by your grandfather sipping brandy and flirting with your girlfriend.  Do expect to find beautiful mahogany siding, sexy cocktail waitresses in the smallest tennis skirts you’ve ever seen, and New York City’s perfect hotspot to make your birthday bumpin.

Spot: Chandeliers and dark wood are juxtaposed with bare-torsos of waitresses and some of New York’s most quality DJs.  A welcome escape from the Meatpacking District’s usual douche fest, Country Club combines the classic clubhouse with a nightclub experience that is sure to please your popped collar and your thirsty appetite.

Grub: Bar snacks include items like the Truffled Grilled Cheese and other classics tweaked for the upscale atmosphere.  Be sure to check out the extensive bellini menu, including the orange cardamom and the roasted pear.

The Deal: Picture Chevy Chase in Caddyshack crossed with the Playboy Mansion.  A fantasy of what a golf and tennis club should be, Country Club is the MPD’s hotspot for preppy debauchery.  Great music, good eats, and a solid drink menu force you to bring your birthday party and leave the clubs and racquet at home.

Didn't love Country Club at all. Wasn't a great place for a birthday party because the place was pretty empty and the door guy outside had wayyy to big of an ego. I'm pretty sure that Country Club has the possibility of being a decent spot but I had a pretty bad experience. I'm not rushing back there.
