Pranna Bar is strikingly beautiful. The place was massive which allowed my friends to run all over the place. There were three floors and a ton of bars which made getting a drink so easy. Birthday Party Booker was able to reserve us a free bottle of champagne and table which really made everything perfect. I was really impressed with Pranna and in terms of a birthday party in new york city, it was the perfect bar to host it. I had a blast and will definitely be pushing my friends to have their birthday there as well!
The only pro about this place, it is huge. Besides that, the drinks are overpriced, the staff is rude and the DJ is horrible.
From reading all the reviews I thought it would be wise to book through birthday party booker. No line, no cover what a bunch of BS. So me and my friend get there and we're suppose to speak to Alina the host. We asked to speak to her and the bouncer says you would have to wait online. Once speaking to the host Alina she said she has no idea who I am and where I am booking from. She scan through a bunch of more paper and say oh, we do have your name here now what? I mean what does that even mean, now what? We were asked to state how many people were going in and female vs. male and when we get in. I thought all of us had no cover. There was ten girls and 5 guys. The guys had to pay the cover which I had no idea they did because I went in first, No complimentary table which they say we will have and no complimentary alcohol. If my friends did no pay the cover I would have left the place and went to the many other place that did want to serve us alcohol and play better music. After I went to complain to the Host about it she said oh sorry I cant refund you the money, but whoever is coming b4 1am will get comp. Guess what they lied. She didn't comp them. It took her forever to give us a ticket to get the free champagne? We had to even argue with the waitress to have us seated. For the free "complimentary alcohol" that you have to pay $40 for their service charge. W.E. Even after all that we did decide to have the bottle service, since everyone was already there. I decided next time I would spend my money else where and book through a friend that is a promoter and stay away from all this drama. I guess it would have been fun anywhere I went. And getting wasted was the most important thing. Let's see I don't think I would ever come back here to Pranna. Thank you, but no thank you. There are way too many places out there for me to stress about it.
